Halloween is all about playful surprises, and these Whipped Cream Ghost Tartlets are the kind of dessert that makes everyone smile. Each tartlet combines a buttery crust, silky chocolate ganache, and a light, fluffy whipped cream ghost on top — the perfect balance of spooky and sweet. Made with a whipped cream charger, the n2o whipped cream turns out incredibly airy and smooth, holding its ghostly shape just right.

Making the Tartlets
Start with the tart shells. Combine flour, powdered sugar, and butter, rubbing them together until the texture feels like coarse crumbs. Add the egg yolk and just enough cold water for the dough to come together. Form it into a ball, chill it, and then roll it out to line small tart pans. After baking until golden, let them cool completely so they hold the ganache well.
The chocolate ganache comes next. Warm the cream just until it begins to steam, then pour it over the chopped chocolate. Let it sit for a minute before stirring in the butter, creating a glossy, rich filling. Pour the ganache into the cooled tart shells and let them set in the fridge until firm.

Now for the ghosts — the most fun part. Pour chilled heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract into a whipped cream dispenser. Connect it with one cream charger and shake it a few times. Dispense the n2o whipped cream onto each tartlet in soft, ghost-like mounds, letting them form little peaks at the top. Add tiny dots of black icing or melted chocolate for the eyes, giving each ghost its own playful expression.
Serving and Taste
The first bite hits with the crunch of buttery crust, followed by the deep, smooth chocolate center. Then comes the whipped cream — light as air, slightly sweet, and impossibly soft thanks to the cream charger. Together, they make a dessert that feels both indulgent and fun, perfect for Halloween parties or a cozy night in.
