How to Infuse Vodka (or Gin, Rum, etc.) in Minutes Using a Whipped Cream Dispenser
Infusing spirits with herbs, fruits, or spices traditionally takes days or even weeks. But with a cream charger and a whipped cream dispenser, you can achieve rich, custom flavors in just minutes.
Whether you’re a home cocktail enthusiast or just want to impress your guests with a custom-flavored vodka, this method is fun, fast, and full of flavor.
What You’ll Need:
| 1 whipped cream dispenser | Flavoring ingredients (choose one or mix) |
|
1 cream charger (N2O) |
Fresh herbs: basil, mint, rosemary, thyme |
| 120 ml of vodka (or gin, rum, tequila, etc.) |
Spices: cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, peppercorns |
| Others: coffee beans, vanilla beans, jalapenos | Fruit: citrus peels, berries, pineapple chunks, mango |

Instructions
Step 1: Add Ingredien
Pour the vodka (or other spirit) into the whipped cream dispenser.
Add your chosen flavoring ingredients. (E.g., a few basil leaves + a lemon peel + 3 peppercorns.)
Step 2: Charge with N2O
Seal the dispenser and charge it with one N2O cream charger.
If you're using small N2O cartridges, like the 9g ones, you can insert them directly into the dispenser. For larger canisters, such as 1.1L or 3.3L nitrous oxide tank, you'll need a pressure regulator to transfer the gas safely into the dispenser.

Shake well for 30 seconds to evenly distribute the gas and pressure.
Step 3: Let It Sit Under Pressure
Let the mixture sit under pressure for 1–2 minutes.
This allows the gas to force the alcohol into the cellular structure of the herbs or fruits, extracting flavor rapidly.
Step 4: Vent and Release
Place a towel over the nozzle and slowly vent the gas by pulling the trigger.
(Be careful — liquid may spray if released too quickly.)
Step 5: Strain and Serve
Open the dispenser and strain the infused alcohol through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter.
Use immediately or bottle it for later.

Serving Suggestions
Basil Lemon Vodka Soda: Mix with sparkling water and ice.
Cinnamon-Spiced Rum Old Fashioned: Add bitters and orange peel.
Chili-Infused Tequila Margarita: Add lime juice and agave syrup.
TIPS
Always use N2O (nitrous oxide) chargers — never CO2.
Do not overcharge or overfill the dispenser.
Clean the whipped cream dispenser thoroughly after each use.
Use only high-proof alcohol (minimum 35%) for best flavor extraction and food safety.
This rapid infusion technique opens up a world of creative possibilities in your home bar. From spicy jalapeno tequila to floral lavender gin, the only limit is your imagination. Perfect for last-minute cocktail ideas or custom gifts!
