There’s something magical about the smell of apple pie baking in the oven. It’s warm, nostalgic, and instantly makes any house feel like home. But today, I’m giving this classic a little twist—with a dreamy swirl of cinnamon whipped cream, made using a cream charger.
Trust me: once you try this combo, you’ll never want to serve apple pie plain again.
A New Take on an Old Favorite
Apple pie is great on its own—but topping it with light, spiced whipped cream takes it to another level. By using a cream charger, you get a fluffy, stable whipped topping in seconds—and it’s perfect for adding a touch of cinnamon spice without overpowering the pie.
You can use your favorite apple pie recipe (or even a quality store-bought one—we’re not judging). But if you’re baking from scratch, here’s a simple filling:
What You’ll Need
|
For the pie |
For the cinnamon whipped cream |
|
6 tart apples, sliced |
1 cup heavy cream (chilled) |
|
1/2 cup white sugar and 1/4 cup brown sugar |
2 tbsp powdered sugar |
|
1 tsp cinnamon and A pinch of nutmeg |
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon |
|
A splash of lemon juice |
1/2 tsp vanilla extract |
|
1 tbsp flour (to thicken) |
a cream charger and a cream dispenser |

Apply a little butter on the pie crust, mix the apple filling together, and spread it evenly on the pie crust, top it off, and bake at 375°F (190°C) for about an hour.
To make the cinnamon buttercream
Mix all ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup.
Pour into your whipped cream dispenser.
Charge it with one N2O cream charger.
(If you choose 8/9g cartridges, you can use them directly in the dispenser. If you choose a large n2o tank, you will need to use it with a pressure regulator.)
Shake well and dispense over warm pie.

Perfect for Fall, Holidays
This recipe is a hit at festival, I’d make it in July if I had apples and a craving. It’s a simple way to impress guests—or just spoil yourself with a better-than-usual dessert.Pair with hot tea, coffee, or a chilled cider for extra coziness.
The chill of the whipped cream against the warmth of the apple pie delivers a delicious contrast that delights every bite.
Want to level it up?
Add a drizzle of salted caramel before the whipped cream
Sprinkle crushed pecans on top
Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream under the whipped cream for double delight

Using a cream charger doesn’t just save time—it opens up a world of flavor possibilities. This cinnamon whipped cream is just the beginning. Once you try it, you’ll be topping everything from pancakes to cocoa with it.
So go ahead—serve up that slice of apple pie with a fluffy cinnamon cloud on top. You've earned it.
